Mooiriver

Mooiriver is a small town situated at 1,389m above sea level and 160km coast in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It was established by Irishman Alexander Lawrence in 1884 on the banks of the Mooiriver river. The name is Afrikaans for "beautiful river" It lies on the principal road N3 and rail routes between Johannesburg and Durban. A toll plaza is located at Mooiriver.
