Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House

Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House is an American comedy film released in 1948. It tells the story of a New York man who wants to build a simple home in the country, in which he and his family will live. He finds that buying and building his own home is easier said than done.

Jim Blandings is played by Cary Grant, and his wife Muriel is played by Myrna Loy. Melvyn Douglas plays Bill Cole.

It was remade as The Money Pit in 1986, and The Dream House in 1993.
