Neobatrachia are a suborder of order Anura, generally known as frogs and toads. As the name suggests, this suborder, of the three, is the newest (neo-). It also happens to be the largest with 4,688 different species. It has a large range of families, which includes, among its number, "true frogs" (Ranidae) and "true toads" (Bufonidae).
