NeuGene is a trademark describing Morpholino antisense oligos in development as pharmaceuticals by AVI BioPharma, Inc. www.avibio.com. The "Neu" in the name refers to the uncharged (neutral) nature of the Morpholino oligo. Publications by AVI scientists and collaborators often refer to Morpholino oligos as PMO, an acronym for phosphorodiamidate morpholino oligo.
