Nookie

Nookie (sometimes spelt Nooky) is a humourous slang term for an act of sexual intercourse, usually carried out in secret by two people when they are believed to be doing something else at the time. Examples would include two work colleagues using a stationery cupboard during a tea break or a couple in the back of a car at lunchtime.

Probably derived from nook , a word meaning a corner or recess.

Nookie is also short for "Nookie Bear", a puppet used for over thirty years by ventriloquist Roger De Courcey , winner of the 1976 Grand Final of UK television's "New Faces" talent show .
