Ogata, Akita

Ōgata (大潟村; -mura) is a village located in Minamiakita District, Akita, Japan.

As of 2003, the village has an estimated population of 3,381 and a density of 19.88 persons per km². The total area is 170.05 km².

This village is made up entirely of reclaimed land. The area was originally Hachirogata Lake .
