Operation Christian Vote

Operation Christian Vote (OCV) is a minor British Political Party founded in May 2004. It is based in Ilford, London and its leader is The Rev. James George Hargreaves .

The party contested the 2004 European Elections in the Scotland constituency, gaining 1.8% of the popular vote. The Rev. Hargreaves claims to be the only Afro-Caribbean leader of any party which contested these elections.

OCV aims to give the Christian electorate an opportunity to turn their vote into a voice for Christ. It takes a strongly Pro-Life, Pro-Family stance, and has encountered problems in distributing and broadcasting election material containing explicit image of abortions. Its position on the European Union was encapsulated by its leader as "If God's not in it, we don’t want it!"

The Rev. Hargreaves was a candidate in the Birmingham Hodge Hill by-election, where he received 90 votes and lost his deposit.
