Province of Padua

Padua (It. Provincia di Padova) is a province in the Veneto region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Padua.

It has an area of 2,142 sq km, and a total population of 849,857 (2001). There are 104 communes in the province (source: Italian institute of statistics Istat, see this link).
