Paul Hamilton Hayne

Paul Hamilton Hayne (1830 - 1886) was an American poet.

Hayne was born at Charleston, South Carolina, of an old family, contributed to various magazines, and published Poems (1885), containing "Legends and Lyrics." His graceful verses show the influence of John Keats. His sonnets are considered his best work.
