Pembrokeshire (Welsh: Sir Penfro) is a county in the southwest of Wales in the United Kingdom. It shares a border with Carmarthenshire to the southeast and Ceredigion (Cardiganshire) to the northeast.

The county was founded in 1282 by order of Edward I, has long been split between its anglicized south (known as "Little England beyond Wales") and its Welsh north. Between 1974 and 1996 the county was administered as two districts (South Pembroke and Preseli) of the administrative county of Dyfed. Since 1996 it has been a unitary authority.
