Penetration

The term penetration can mean several things:

• In business, penetration is often short for market penetration, the degree to which a product or service is known and/or used among potential customers.
• In firearms, penetration (firearms) refers to the ability to pierce the target; higher penetration means that it is more likely to pierce effective body armor.
• In sexology, sexual penetration is the penetration of an orifice as part of a sexual act
