Peter Cartwright (exhorter)

Peter Cartwright (1785-1873) was a 19th century "hellfire and brimstone" preacher born in Amherst County, Virginia, Virginia, United States. Shortly after the American Revolutionary War, his family moved to Kentucky. He personally baptized twelve thousand people. He was a minister who preached for benevolence.
