A phantom is an immaterial being or ghost. There are reported phantom travellers, phantom monks, phantom nuns, and phantom vehicles, some driverless. [1] Often synonymous with ghost, the word "phantom" can also refer to a vision of a living person or an inanimate object. Visions are often spoken of as containing phantoms as the protagonists. (See Also Sprite (fantasy))
Phantom is also a gaming console capable of running PC games and featuring a broadband-based game subscription service, developed by Infinium Labs and was due to be released in November 2004. However, a demo has never been given, causing many to wonder if it is vaporware.
phantom pain may occur virtually in any of the extremities of someone's body after having had an amputation of the respective part. In fact, the damage to the ends disturbs signalling along nerves. Under such condition, there is no mental means to distinguish between pain that would have caused in reality and equivalent reception.
