Phibsboro, locally pronounced fizz-bur-ah, is a suburb of Dublin in Ireland.
Phibsboro is on the northside of Dublin, and has two major bus garages: Phisboro and Broadstone. It is about two kilometres north of the River Liffey, which bisects the city of Dublin. It contains one of the major teaching hospitals of Dublin, the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, the Children's Hospital, Temple Street , Ireland's largest prison Mountjoy Prison and a youth hostel. The area is bordered by Glasnevin, Cabra, and Drumcondra.
