Polymyalgia rheumatica

Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) - is disorder associated with pain in the shoulder and hip. It is considered a seronegative rheumatic disease but the etiology has not been established. It responds well to steroids (prednisone).

It is associated with giant cell arteritis which is a more serious condition.
