Poopó

Poopó is a saline lake extending circa 130 kilometres southwards of Oruro, Bolivia. It has an area of 1,340 km˛, and is fed by the Desaguadero River , the sole outflow from Lake Titicaca. The waters are muddy and there are extensive areas of exposed mud. It is particularly important for flamingos.
