Powerpets

Powerpets is a virtual pet site in which you can adopt a real-life pet, such as a horse or fox. You may also partake in storylines and quests, such as one for the Zookeeper, where you seek certain items to get a PetPedia or HealthPedia. These enable you to visit certain areas if you have enough diferent kinds. Powerpets is notably more focused on the pet and is based on real-life more than most other virtual pet sites. One example of the strong emphasis on caring for your pet is that you lose access to the chat boards and other areas if you do not play with your pet, neglect to feed it, or if it is sick.

Free Items and Random Events

Powerpets has several free item giveaways, including Padam's Shack, where you can get items and money every three hours. The Northern Woods is another example of a giveaway spot, where you can get slime with varying degrees of Radioactivity, feed them to your pet to increase it's strength, exchange them for tokens at Point Taken, or go to the Slime Compactor and get money.

Random events are relatively frequent and will likely be one of three events; Nova giving you money, Gekkie giving you a Job Agency Power Card, or an educational fact appearing onscreen.
