Rhinatrematidae

Rhinatrematidae is the family of neoptropical tailed caecilians or beaked caecilians. Members of the family are found in the equatorial countries of South America.

Taxonomy

There are nine species in two genera.

  • Genus Epicrionops
    • Epicrionops bicolor - found in Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela and Colombia.
    • Epicrionops columbianus
    • Epicrionops lativittatus
    • Epicrionops marmoratus
    • Epicrionops niger
    • Epicrionops parkeri
    • Epicrionops peruvianus
    • Epicrionops petersi
  • Genus Rhinatrema
    • Rhinatrema bivittatum
