Riggs Glacier

The Riggs Glacier is located in Glacier Bay National Monument, heads on southern slope of Takhinsha Mountains, 6 km SE of Mount Harris , trends SSE to head of Muir Inlet , 69 km SW of Skagway, Saint Elias Mountains.

Named by the American Geographical Society in 1947 for Thomas Christmas Riggs, Jr., Governor of Alaska from 1918 to 1921.
