Right-wing extremism is a form of political extremism associated with the far right faction of right wing politics.
In the 20th Century the ideology has been present in many nations of the world, and is often associated with terrorism and violence.
Right-wing extremism is generally considered to be highly reactionary and lack a strong academic or intelectual basis. Instead, it is a movement highly obsessed with issues such as race, ethnicity, and religion with a Social Darwinistic focus.
Groups considered to share this view include white supremacy movements such as the KKK, Nazi Party, and Aryan Brotherhood, as well as militia groups in the United States such as Eric Rudolph, Timothy McVeigh and their supporters.
