Sandeep Parekh

Sandeep Parekh is an Indian lawyer.

A practising lawyer, he teaches a course on Securities Regulations to second year students of IIM Ahmedabad as visiting faculty. He led the crusade against the onslaught of Mr. Murli Manohar Joshi (Human Resource Minister) and his Jt. Secretary Mr. V.S. Pandey against the IIMs by filing a Public Interest Litigation in the Supreme Court of India. The case caused tremendous embarrasment to the BJP government . The HRD minister lost the subsequent election in May 2004 - many believe a major cause was the hubris he exhibited in fighting the IIM case in the Supreme Court.
