Scáthach

Scáthach ("shadowy") is the female warrior who trains Cúchulainn in the arts of war in the Ulster Cycle of Irish mythology. She lives in either Alba (Britain) or the Alps. Some texts link her to the Isle of Skye.

With Douglas, she was the mother of Lasair, Inghean Bhuidhe, Latiaran and Uathach.
