Sea monk

The sea monk was a sea monster found off the coast of Denmark in the middle of the sixteenth century. A fish(?) that looked superficially like a monk. Sometimes also given the name of monkfish. Some authors (Ellis 1998) believe it is based on the discovery of a giant squid.
