Sex cord-stromal tumour

Sex cord-stromal tumours are a group of sex cord ovarian neoplasms which accounts for 8% of all reported cases. This group consists of the neoplastic proliferations of granulosa (granulosa cell tumours), theca (thecomas), Sertoli, and Leydig cells (Sertoli-Leydig cell tumours), as well as fibroblasts (fibroma). These tumours tend to be functioning and, by producing estrogens or androgens, may have dramatic clinical presentations. Almost all are unilateral.
