Shah Rukh of Persia

Shahrokh (Persian: شاهرخ) was the son of Nadir Shah and took over control of Khorasan after his father's death in 1747.

When Karim Khan took control of Persia, he made Shah Rukh Governor of Khorasan. Some years later he was blinded by a mob; however continued to rule Khorasan until Agha Mohammad Khan took the control of the country. He had tortured Shah Rukh to death because he thought that he knew of Nadir's treasures.

Shah Rukh is also the name of many princes.
