Shallow Grave

Shallow Grave is a 1994 British thriller film, directed by Danny Boyle and written by John Hodge. It was Boyle's first major feature film, and the same production team would go on to make the ground-breaking Trainspotting (1996).

The plot of the film concerns three flatmates who discover their new lodger dead in his room with a large amount of money. They decide to hide the body and keep the money, but as the man's former associates and the police begin to close in, the tensions drive them apart.

The film stars Ewan McGregor in his first major film role, alongside Christopher Eccleston and Kerry Fox. The supporting cast is led by Keith Allen and Ken Stott . The film was shot on location in Edinburgh and Glasgow in Scotland.
