Shelthorpe Estate

Shelthorpe Estate was built in the 1920s. Originally the largest council estate in the country, it is now a notorious part of Loughborough.

The estate is Bisected by Epinal Way Extension - a new bypass road for Loughborough. Before this new road was built, the ring-road ran along Shelthorpe Road.

The heart of Shelthorpe is Park Road. There are a variety of shops, including Tesco, along Park Road and at the Epinal Way Roundabout. There is also a McDonalds.
