see text The Buffaloberries (Shepherdia) are a genus of small shrubs which have rather bitter tasting berries, native to North America. The genus has three species:

S. argentea - Silver Buffaloberry
S. canadensis - Canada Buffaloberry
S. rotundifolia - Round-leaf Buffaloberry
