Shuman Ghosemajumder

Shuman Ghosemajumder is the co-founder of Anadas, a Canadian software development firm, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer. He was previously a lead software engineer at Groupware Corporation, where he designed and developed the world's first real-time collaborative (peer-to-peer) graphic design application. He also held strategy consulting roles with IBM and McKinsey & Company, advising senior management of Fortune 100 corporations on media, technology and new venture development. He is the co-author of the book CGI Programming Unleashed (Macmillan Publishing, 1997, ISBN 1575211513) and has also published numerous works on digital media distribution, including the Open Music Model.

Ghosemajumder received his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario, where he was a Canada Merit Scholarship winner (top fifteen students in the country), and his M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

While in university, he was one of the world's top-ranked debaters and public speakers, winning the North American Public Speaking Championship as well as first-place awards at the Harvard and NYU International Championships. He was also the youngest-ever President of the University of Western Ontario Debating Society and of CUSID, the Canadian national debating organization.

Since 2003, he has worked at Google.
