Siddha

Siddha is a form of medical treatment of curing diseases using herbs. This form of medicine was professed and practised by Siddhars. Preparations were made out of the parts of the plants and trees such as leaves, bark, stem, root etc. It is said that one can get complete cure without any side effects of the treatment.

Siddha is also a sanskrit word referring to "Perfection", usually spiritual perfection or enlightenment. As a noun, the word refers to a person who has realised the goal of spiritual practice and become a perfected being. Example of use, "Swamiji has become a great Siddha."
