Siemens-Duewag U2

The Siemens-Duewag U2 is a light rail vehicle. Originally of German design and use, the model of car has since migrated to North America where it is used in such cities as Calgary, Edmonton, and San Diego.

Technical Details

The U2's dimensions are 24.284m by 2.650m by 3.66m and can be used in trains of up to six cars. It may be equipped with two DC or four AC motors for a total power output and maximum speed of 300kW and 80km/h / 544kW/88km/h, respectively. It has a total passenger capacity of 265 passengers.
