The Singapore national football team is the national team of Singapore and is controlled by the Football Association of Singapore . It has never made the World Cup. It have only won two tournaments to date, the regional Tiger Cup in 1998, with a surprising 1-0 victory over hosts and favourites Vietnam in the final, and in 2004/5, defeating Indonesia 2-1 at the National Stadium in Singapore in the second leg of the final, winning 5-2 on aggregate.
The league game in Singapore is called Singapore League or the S.League. Some of the notable teams are Geyland United, Tanjong Pagar United, Tampines Rovers, Home United, SAFFC and Young Lions.
