Stanley Morison

Stanley Morison (May 6 1889—October 11 1967) was an English typographer and literary editor. He is best known for his work in helping to develop the Times New Roman font style in conjunction with the Monotype corporation.

The first issue of The Times™ set in Times New Roman™, was printed on 3 October 1932.

He later edited the Times Literary Supplement.
