Supox

The Supox Utricularia are a fictional race of beings featured in the sci-fi Star Control computer game series.

They make their debut in Star Control 2 as allies of the Utwig and providers of the Ultron.

The Supox are a race of kind, sentient plant creatures who evolved from a species of semi-mobile symbionts. The complete race's name is Supox utricularia. The Supox are aware of how unlikely their evolutionary path as intelligent plants appears, and consider this proof of their divine origin.

The Supox are symbionts, and their relationship with the Utwig reflects this. The Supox look at the Utwig for guidance, and use the Utwig culture as a model for their own. In return, they give the Utwig the emotional support they need.
