Sustainable urban infrastructure

Sustainable urban infrastructure is a term used to describe infrastructure that helps a place to move towards the goal of sustainable living.

The criteria for what can be included in this category varies from place to place, given differences in existing infrastructure and built form, climate and availability of local resources or talents.

Generaly speaking the following could be considered sustainable urban infrastructure:

• public transit systems
• district energy systems
• high efficiency buildings
• connected green spaces (or nature)
