Svansven

Svansven is a website with pictures and stories about one certain groups of teenagers living in the city of Stavanger, Norway.

Since the winter of 2002, several thousands of pictures have been to this site, allowing people from all over the world to update themselves about how Norwegian teenagers spend their time. For instance, you can find both roadtrips and local partys well documented with pictures and Norwegian text, as well as New Years Day celebrations and travel to foreign countrys.

Originally, the site was meant to be an digital photoalbum for some friends. However, after a couple of months, the page became very popular, and the word spread. Three years later, the site has several hundred daily hits.

The name Svansven consists of the two words "Svan" (related to Swan in English), and "Sven", a common male name in Norway.
