The Sydney Royal Easter Show (RES) in Sydney, Australia, (also known as the Royal Easter Show or simply the Sydney Royal) is an annual show held over two weeks around Easter.
It is run by the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales .
The Sydney Royal comprises an agricultural show, an amusement park and a state fair and combines the elements of each, showcasing the judging of livestock and produce. This comprehensive fair has many competitions including arts and crafts, photography and cookery, as well as tests of strength and skill such as wood chopping. The Sydney Royal also has shopping, restaurants, commercial stands and exhibits, a horticultural display, a national accredited dog show and cat show, and stage and arena shows.
The RES used to be held at Randwick, east of Sydney, but since 1999 it has been held at the Olympic Park site at Homebush Bay.
