The Long Patrol (book)

The Long Patrol is the tenth book in Brian Jacques's Redwall series, published in 1997. It takes place after The Pearls of Lutra and before Marlfox.

Plot

At the start of the novel, Tammo, a young hare, escapes from his family's camp in the far North to go join the Long Patrol, a regiment of hares from the mountain fortress of Salamandastron. Meanwhile, Damug Warfang and his army of 1000 evil vermin have landed on the south coast and are advancing towards Redwall. The leaders at Redwall and Salamandastron have to come up with a daring plan to draw the army away from Redwall and defeat them in an epic battle, and Tammo and his newfound friends are caught in the middle of the largest battle Mossflower Country has ever seen.
