Trojan donkey

Trojan donkey is a derogatory term used to describe Poland within the EU .

It was used by used in the headlines by several German newspapers and political commentaries following Poland's support of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Polish statements that their "ultimate objective" was to acquire supplies of Iraqi oil confirmed the view of Poles as untrustworthy in the eyes of some commentators in Germany, France and other European countries.
