True Colors
True Colors is the second album by 1980s icon and singer Cyndi Lauper , released in 1986 (see 1986 in music ).
The title song, written by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly , secured Lauper's status as a successful record producer and performer. It has been covered by countless other artists including Phil Collins , and was used as the theme song for both the Olympics and for Kodak cameras and film .
