Tubuai

Tubuai is an island of the Pacific Ocean, in the Austral Islands, a part of French Polynesia. It is 640 km south of Tahiti.

Population: 2,049. Area: 45 km².

Tubuai was annexed by France in 1881.

Tubuai is portrayed as an island of cannibals in one of the movie versions of Mutiny on the Bounty.
