Tumut

Tumut is a town and council area in New South Wales, Australia, roughly 4 hours south-west of Sydney. Tumut is geographically the same distance from Sydney and Melbourne therefore Tumut was once considered as a possible site for national capital, but in the end Canberra was chosen. Tumut is the gateway to the Snowy Mountains Scheme.
