Turicum

Turicum was a Swiss automobile manufactured between 1904 and 1912 in Zürich, later in Uster . Turicum is the Latin name of Zürich. The first car made by Martin Fischer was a small (140 cm long) single-seater, with pedal-operated steering . This ancient go-kart did not attract public interest. The production cars with steering wheel and two seater body were manufactured in Uster. From 1905, there were conventional four cylinder models. All Turicum cars were friction driven. Some of the cars were exported. Some 6 cars still survive.
