Turramurra

Turramurra is a suburb of Sydney, Australia, part of the Ku-ring-gai Council Local Government Area. It is located approximately 14 kilometres from the Sydney central business district (20 kilometres by road) and has a population of about 20,000 residents. Turramurra is a very hilly suburb with large residential blocks, about 250 metres above sea level, and currently has the highest average rainfall in the Sydney metropolitan area.

Turramurra railway station is on the North Shore line and on the Pacific Highway (Metroad 1). These two major transport routes run together across the suburb from south-east to north-west and divide it into two distinct sections. South Turramurra is south of the Commenara Parkway, and north of Lane Cove National Park. North Turramurra stretches in the other direction towards Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
