Uomo Universale, ( it: Universal Man) is a term which describes a person who strives to be able to do and to know as many things as he (or she?) can—to develop in all directions.

This concept was very prevalent in Itailan renaissance artitsts like Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo.
