Urban Revolution


In anthropology and archaeology, the urban revolution is the process by which small, kin-based, nonliterate agricultural villages are transformed into large, socially complex, civilized urban centres. The term urban revolution was introduced by V. Gordon Childe, an Australian archaeologist.
