Vacheron Constantin is a swiss watch manufacturer.
The company, which is one of the brands in luxury goods group Richemonts portfolio, is based at at 1 Rue des Moulins in Geneva. The premises also holds a museum.
The symbol used on dials and movements is a maltese cross.
History
Vacheron Constantin is one of the worlds oldest watch manufactures, and traces its history back to 1755 when Jean-Marc Vacheron established himself in Geneva as a watchmaker.
In 1819, François Constantin entered a partnership with the Constantin company.
In the 1970s, the name was changed from "Vacheron&Constantin" to "Vacheron Constantin"
In 1996 Richemont acquires all shares from Yamani, a former Saudi Arabian minister of oil.
