Vanessa Cornejo Ubrieta Laine (born May 5, 1982) married NBA basketball star Kobe Bryant on April 18, 2001 in Dana Point, California. Kobe's father Joe Jellybean Bryant briefly broke relations with his son because he objected to his son's marriage, though they later reconciled. She and Kobe have one child, a daughter named Natalia.

In 2003, Vanessa Bryant stood by husband Kobe after he was accused of raping a 19-year-old Colorado woman.
