Varberg Municipality

Varberg is a Municipality in Halland County, in southwest Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 872.9 km². Of the total population of 52648, 26182 are male, and 26466 are female. The population density of the community is 60 inhabitants per km². Varberg was chartered in 1100.

Near Varberg there is the VLF transmitter Grimeton a very interesting radotechnical facility, which can be visited during summer times.
