Vicente Abad Santos

Vicente Abad Santos (July 12 1916 - December 30 1993) was a Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.

A native of San Fernando , in Pampanga province of central Luzon, Santos earned a Bachelor's degree at the University of the Philippines before earning a degree at Harvard Law School in the United States. In 1962 he became a professor and later the dean of the College of Law at the University of the Philippines.

Santos served as Philippine Minister of Justice from August 1970 to January 1979, when he resigned that post to become a Supreme Court Justice. He served as a Justice until his retirement in July 1986.
